Committee Activities
  • To give guidance about the different funding schemes of agencies like BCUD, University of Pune,  UGC, DST, CSIR, DBT etc.
  • To communicate announcements of different funding agencies to faculty.
  • To motivate the teachers for undertaking minor and major research project.
  • To provide guidance for preparing research proposals.
  • Organizing periodical meetings for presenting research proposal.
  • To finalize the topics of the research projects and modification in projects.
  • To scrutinize the proposals and suggest changes.
  • To monitor progress of the ongoing projects and provide any necessary help or guidance.
  • Final reports of the projects are submitted to funding agency through research committee.



Major decisions taken:
  • A well equipped instrument center (Central Characterization Facility) is created in the campus
  • Submitted proposals for recognition of departments as research centers to University of Pune and got recognition for 9 departments as recognized research centers of University of Pune.
  • Submitted research proposals to different agencies such as UGC,DST,CSIR,BCUD (University of Pune)
  • 57 research projects are ongoing and 26 are completed.
  • 72 Students registered as Ph.D. student in different departments.
